Colombo, Sri Lanka – 5 March 2026:  The 15th Sri Lankan Edition of the Textile Series of Exhibitions officially opened today at the Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre (SLECC), Colombo 10, marking another significant milestone in the country’s textile and apparel industry journey.

Organized by CEMS-Global USA, the internationally renowned exhibition series, which is held across three continents, once again brings together global manufacturers, technology innovators, raw material suppliers, and Sri Lanka’s leading apparel exporters under one comprehensive sourcing platform.

This milestone edition, coinciding with the 25th Anniversary of CEMS-Global’s Textile Series of Exhibitions, once again brings together three co-located international exhibitions – 13th Textech Sri Lanka 2026, 15th Colombo International Yarn & Fabric Show 2026, and 51st DyeChem Sri Lanka 2026 – forming Sri Lanka’s most comprehensive sourcing and technology platform for the nation’s textile and apparel industry.

It has become a strategic sourcing hub and a catalyst for modernization – bridging Sri Lanka’s apparel manufacturers with global suppliers of textile and garment machinery, yarn, fabrics, trims, accessories, dyestuff, chemicals, and emerging technologies.

This 15th edition once again presents a fully integrated sourcing ecosystem through its co-located exhibitions, covering the complete textile and apparel value chain – from fiber to fashion, and from technology to finished garments.

The exhibition floor showcases cutting-edge innovations in automation, sustainable processing, digital textile printing, energy-efficient machinery, advanced chemical solutions, performance fabrics, and smart manufacturing systems – reflecting the industry’s accelerated transformation toward sustainability, compliance, and competitiveness.

Industry leaders present highlighted Sri Lanka’s strong reputation for ethical manufacturing, compliance excellence, and value-added apparel production. They reiterated the importance of deeper integration across the supply chain, technological upgrading, and strategic global partnerships to sustain long-term growth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. S. S. Sarwar reflected on CEMS-Global’s long-standing engagement with Sri Lanka, dating back to the post-conflict period when the company first introduced global machinery and raw material manufacturers to the country’s apparel sector.

He emphasized that Sri Lanka today stands as a resilient and respected sourcing destination, known for quality, innovation, and responsible manufacturing. The 15th edition, he noted, reaffirms CEMS-Global’s commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s textile and apparel ecosystem by continuously connecting it with global technology partners and international markets.
