The Bureau colors the world of children of migrant workers…

In conjunction with International Migrants Day, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has planned to hold a drawing competition for the children of Sri Lankan workers abroad.

Drawing works will be accepted in any medium, such as watercolor, pastel, poster paint, oil paint, etc., in accordance with the theme “Our National Heroes”. The drawing should be created using a paper and cardboard surface measuring 18 × 14 inches.

This competition will be held under 4 categories, namely Primary Secondary, Junior, Senior and Secondary Senior, and three winners will be selected and awarded valuable cash prizes under each category. Arrangements have also been made to award prizes to twelve people for outstanding talents and twenty others as consolation prizes.

To participate in this competition, it is mandatory for the mother or father of the contestant to have been registered with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment and have been employed abroad within the last 10 years. Each contestant can submit only one design, and all designs must be stamped and certified by the subject teacher of the school and the Deputy Principal or the Principal. The last date for receiving designs is February 28.

To apply and for more information, visit the Bureau’s website www.slbfe.lk or contact the Bureau’s Welfare Division at 011 2365471 / 2365017.
