A consignment of cardamom smuggled into the country was seized by Customs officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport on Saturday.
Cardamom is banned from being imported to Sri Lanka without prior permission.
Customs officials also arrested three people in connection with the incident.
They are between the ages of 40 and 45 and are businessmen residing in the Negombo area.
The consignment weighed 105 kilograms.
Customs are conducting further investigations.
