Police Special Task Force Intelligence Division on a tip-off arrested a suspect along with five grams of heroin and 50 grams of Kerala cannabis, in Mulleriyawa on Wednesday.
He has been identified as an island re-convicted criminal and had been arrested and produced before the courts earlier for committing robbery in the Wellampitiya, Maharagama, Madampe, Kiribathgoda, Ja-Ela and Grandpas police areas. The suspect is a 42-year-old resident of Wellampitiya.
The STF have handed over the suspect to the Mulleriyawa Police.
