Two individuals who were arrested for assaulting the Western Province Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon on Tuesday (10), were ordered to be remanded till today (12) by Colombo Additional Magistrate Shalani Perera yesterday.
The Magistrate also ordered that the two be produced for an identification parade.
Another suspect arrested in connection with the incident has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital due to an illness, police said.
The Magistrate stated that an appropriate order will be issued against the suspect after observing him.
