Deputy Minister of Youth Parliament met Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates

Youth Parliament Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmath Sadique and Youth Parliament Member Mufti Mueen met Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Sri Lanka  Khaled Nasser Al Ameri at the UAE Embassy in Colombo recently.  

The current situation of Sri Lanka, mainly the challenges faced by the youth, the foreign affairs opportunities for the youth and the sectoral aspects including the political sector of the youth were discussed in this meeting.

During this discussion, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates mentioned that he has an interest to conduct a Youth Exchange Program to connect the youth parliamentarians of the United Arab Emirates and the youth parliamentarians of Sri Lanka.

After this discussion, they met the Prime Minister of the Youth Parliament and the Chairman of the National Youth Services Council and told them about discussion between the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Sri Lanka Khaled Nasser Al Ameri.  Then we have taken steps to carry out this project in the future through the Ministry of Youth.

At the end of the discussion, they mentioned that better measures will be taken in the future to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries through the youth.

Also a special feature of this meeting, Deputy Minister of Youth Parliament handed over a memento to the UAE Ambassador.
