RUZAIK FAROOK
A Community Kitchen Nutrition Care Programme was Organized by Colombo Municipal Council as per the request of A. R. M. Safan MMC Wednesday October 12th at St Joseph’s College, Colombo 14. The Programme was Inaugurated by Deputy Mayor of Colombo M.T.M Iqbal. The programme is specially implemented to ensure the well being of the students and to enhance their living standard. Meals were served by the authority where the food gives them the nutrition they need to learn and grow.
In order to make this event an effective and successful one many well wishers and volunteers joined hands together. They hope to continue this great Initiative and wish to provide meals for next two months as well. It’s a key turning point in developing the strategies and leading a good life and to improve the sound basis of the socio economic Development.
Principal of the St. Joseph College S.G.K.D.L.C. Prasad, Colombo Municipal Council Chief Medical Officer Ruwan Wijemuni, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Council Commissioner Shalika S. Ranaweera, Colombo Zonal Education Director, Teachers and Students were present.
