Zahira College Colombo Old Boys’ Association (OBA) organized the “Crescent Light” Annual Dinner which commemorated the 130 years of Zahira College. It was held at the Shangri-La, Colombo recently under the patronage of President of the OBA Alavi Mukthar.
The Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Colombo Dr. Khalid Makki was present as a chief guest.
The OBA honoured the distinguished old boys of the Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Police who served the Nation. Major General (Rtd) Fareez Yosuf, Lieutenant Colonel M.S. Ibrahim, Lieutenant Colonel R. T. Ansar of the Sri Lanka Army, and Deputy Inspector General of Police (Rtd) T.B. Samsudeen.
Also felicitated Principal of the College Trizviiy Marikkar including old boys of Zahira College Deputy Chief Scout Commissioner Saqqaf Muheed, OBA Secretary Nuzri Munsoor, Ashroff Rumi, and late Feroz Inham for their selfless services.
Principal of the College Trizviiy Marikkar presented a token of Appreciation to the chief guest Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Khalid Makki on behalf of the OBA.
Chairman of the Board of Governors Fouzul Hameed, Zahira College Sports Complex Chairman Jisthy Fawmy, Deputy Principal, Vice Principals, Joint Chairman of the Dinner Committee Rafeek Buhary and Ifras Kamil together with a large number of old boys grace the ceremony.
Secretary of the OBA Nuzri Munsoor delivered the vote of thanks.
