The Embassy of Indonesia and the Indonesian community in Sri Lanka celebrated the 78th Independence Day of Indonesia at the embassy premises on 17th August.
The National Flag of Indonesia was hoisted by Ambassador Dewi Gustina Tobing at the Indonesia Embassy in Colombo. The Ambassador addressed the gathering and cuts the anniversary cake.
The event was attended by a large number of participants including religious leaders, Indonesian Community, officials and families of the Embassy, local dignitaries, Officials of the Sri Lankan Indonesia Friendship Association, Representatives of Muslim Institutions, Students of Royal College and Sanka Samudhi Foundation, Journalists and friends of Indonesia were present.
