Today , the Department of Census and Statistics publishes the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the Consumer Inflation Rate for the Colombo Metropolitan Community for the month of August 2024 .
· Accordingly, the consumer inflation rate of the Colombo urban community is 202 4 It has decreased to 0.5 % for the month of August . It was recorded as 2.4 % for July 2024.
· 202 4 In August , the annual inflation (point) of the food category decreased to 0.8 % and in July 2024 it was recorded as 1.5 % .
· Also , Annual inflation (point) in the non-food category for August 2024 eased to 0.4% from 2.8% in July 2024 .
