A group of 650 apprentices will be trained at the German Industrial Training Institute in 2025.

The recruitment ceremony for a group of 650 apprentice trainees at the Ceylon German Industrial Training Institute, Moratuwa, was held today (23) at the premises of the institution under the patronage of the Deputy Minister of Vocational Education, Mr. Nalin Hewage.
During this training period, trainees will have to study ten (10) courses in subject areas covering periods of three, three and a half and four (3. 31/2, 4) years and face several professional examinations at the end. After this, they will receive a certificate awarded by the institution, a National Diploma Certificate at NVQ 05 level and a Certificate of Vocational Competence awarded by the National Apprenticeship and Training Authority.
Mr. Nalin Hewage also handed over a language center equipped with special facilities for the use of the trainees to improve their language knowledge.
Member of Parliament Thilanka U. Gamage, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute Dr. Nandika K. Hettiarachchi, Director Principal Retired Major General Engineer P. S. Kalpa Sanjeewa and a group of others were present at this event.
