Professor Indrananda Abeysekara has been re-appointed as the President of Sri Lanka China Social and Cultural Cooperation Association. For that purpose, Mr. A has been re-appointed in the official election held this year.
Mr. Indrananda Abeysekera has once again been appointed as its president in the 26th official election of that association. . The relevant election was held at the library and documentation services auditorium, Colombo 7, yesterday.
Mr. Indrananda Abeysekara is also the founder of Sri Lanka China Social and Cultural Cooperation Association.Mr. Abeysekara is the only Sri Lankan who has received the Chinese National Day Award for Foreign Experts and also the honorary title of Chinese Friendly Ambassador. Mr. Abeysekera, who has contributed to the development of relations between Sri Lanka and China in many fields such as culture, social education and youth affairs through people-friendly relations, has also worked intermittently for 12 years in China International Radio. Mr. Abeysekera also took the initiative to establish the South Asian Regional Association for Cooperation and Friendship with China in Sri Lanka. 27 members have been elected for the executive committee in the general meeting of the association.
Here Deputy Chairman Dunil Heiantuduwa (Chief Accountant Ministry of Mass Media), Chief Secretary Aruna Kurukulasuriya (Entrepreneur), Finance Secretary Mahendra Wijetunga (Deputy Director of Education Western Province), National Organizer Nandasena Madawanarachchi (Coordination Secretary-Ministry of Education) were appointed to key positions. . Many scholars and professionals have been elected for other positions. In the year 2023, information was presented about the activities to be carried out in relation to the development of relations and friendship between Sri Lanka and China in the fields of social, cultural, education, media, arts, human resources and research.
