The price of Litro gas will not change this time - President Muditha Peiris

President Muditha Peiris states that Litro Gas Lanka Company has decided to maintain the gas price without any change this month.

He said this while attending a press conference held at the company premises yesterday (04). The Chairman further commented that comparing the price formula and the international gas price, the price of gas should increase by 470 rupees. But the company decided not to increase the price this month as a result of the excellent management of stockpiling when the price had been shrewdly identified in advance in the international market.

Accordingly, the prices of 12.5 kg cylinder of Litro Gas at 2,982 rupees, 1,198 rupees for 5 kg cylinder and 561 rupees for 2.3 kg cylinder will be maintained without any change.

The company has already reduced the prices of litro gas cylinders four times this year and accordingly reduced them by 1,005 rupees in April, 100 rupees in May, 452 rupees in June and 204 rupees last July.
While providing this relief to the people, Litro Company also arranged to award 1.5 billion rupees as dividends to the state treasury last week. Mr. Peiris added that it is a special achievement of our company to be able to provide gas to the people at a low price by challenging the increase in international prices due to the study of the market and efficient stock management.
