Eleven people who qualified for Israeli home-based nursing jobs were issued passports (06) at the Foreign Employment Bureau.
This is the 154th group preparing to leave for Israel. These eleven include nine female job seekers and two male job seekers.
This group includes 131 people who have received nursing job opportunities in Israel since January 1, 2025. According to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Israel and the Government of Sri Lanka, 2,021 Sri Lankans have received nursing job opportunities in Israel to date.
The Bureau expects to send skilled workers abroad for high-paying professional jobs, and accordingly, efforts are currently being made to send skilled workers to foreign countries for employment. There has also been a trend in the past few years of workers going beyond the traditional framework and heading to European and East Asian countries, and accordingly, there is a growing interest among Sri Lankans in seeking employment in Israel.
