The Al Ihsan Trust recently distributed kitchen kits to flood-affected families in Kolonnawa at a special programme held at the Maha Visuddharama Temple (Ali Denna Tample) Dematagoda, Colombo.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Director Projects, Nissther Annis Nearly 1,200 beneficiaries from all communities in the Kolonnawa area received kitchen kits, which were generously sponsored by Orphan in Need UK.
The recipients were among those severely affected by the recent floods, which caused significant hardship and damage to their homes and livelihoods.
The kitchen kits were ceremonially distributed by Ven. Welimada Shantha Thero. Director of Al Ihsan Trust, Musthanier Annis, along with members of the Trust, was also present at the event.
The programme reflected the commitment of Al Ihsan Trust and its partners to supporting vulnerable communities and assisting families in their recovery from natural disasters.
