Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) has continued its partnership with the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) as the Title Sponsor of the 3rd CDB MCA T10 Cricket Tournament 2026, which commenced on 6th June 2026 and will conclude on 28th June 2026
The tournament is conducted in two categories: Tier “A” (Turf) and Tier “B” (Matting), providing competitive opportunities for a wide range of mercantile cricket teams.
Tier “A” – Turf Tournament
Participating Teams (06)
Group A – DPGC “A” – Abans Group & Senija Fertilizer.
Group B – CDB “A”, DFCC Bank & Sampath Bank.
Tournament Format
The six participating teams are divided into two groups and compete in a round-robin league format. At the conclusion of the league stage, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the Semi-Finals.
The losing Semi-Finalists will compete in the 3rd Place Play-Off, followed by the Championship Final.
• Semi-Finals: 26th June 2026
• Final: 28th June 2026 – Venue: CCC – under lights
Tier “B” – Matting Tournament
A total of 20 teams are participating in Tier “B”, divided into four groups.
Group A – English Tea Shop, Akbar Brothers, HNB Assurance, Heshan Flex & Ceylon Tobacco
Group B – DPGC “B”, Star Garments, CameraLK, Siyapatha Finance & Hayleys “B”
Group C – Cargills Bank, Commercial Bank, Maliban Biscuits, Seylan Bank & HNB “B”
Group D – Power Hand Plantation, South Asian Technology, Ansell Textile, Stafford Motors & People’s Leasing
Tournament Format
The participating teams compete in a round-robin league format within their respective groups. At the conclusion of the league stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Quarter-Finals.
The knockout stage will consist of Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals & Championship Final

• Final: 28th June 2026 – Venue: CCC – under lights

Sponsorship Presentation Ceremony
The Sponsorship Presentation Ceremony & Media Conference, were held on Wednesday, 17th June 2026 at 6.30 p.m. at the MCA Legends Wing.
On this occasion, Mr. Sasindra Munasinghe, Executive Director – Sales and Business Development of Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB), officially handed over the sponsorship cheque to Mr. Sirosha Gunatilake, President of the Mercantile Cricket Association.
