The Iran Cultural Center in Colombo organized a 40th Day memorial ceremony on Thursday, April 9, to commemorate the martyred Supreme Leader Seyed Ali Khameini of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, The event was held at the Iran Cultural Center Auditorium under the patronage of Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of Iran, Ali Kebriaei Zadeh.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Alireza Delkhosh, addressed the gathering and spoke about Ayatollah Khamenei’s leadership and his admirable qualities. He noted that the people of Iran remain devoted to his vision and service. The Ambassador also recalled an incident in which 180 Mina School students were attacked, attributing it to American and Israeli actions.
Former Chairman of the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute and the National Institute of Language Education and Training, Vinod Munasinghe, along with former Ambassador to Brazil and the Netherlands and former High Commissioner to the Maldives, Sadik, spoke about Ayatollah Khamenei’s significant service to Iran. They highlighted his leadership, guidance, and contributions to the country, particularly in the field of education.
Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa, officials from the Iranian Embassy, and a large number of attendees were present at the event. A documentary telecast on the life and leadership of Ali Khamenei.”
